The university has mapped out a vision on teaching and learning, Learning@LeidenUniversity, in which it defines eight ambitions for our education. Strengthening teaching and learning at our university is also part of the university’s strategic plan.  

The Science Faculty strategic plan defines what the faculty stands for and what our course is regarding research and education. 

The vision and plan should be consulted before (re)designing a course or curriculum to make sure that it contributes to the greater ambitions of the university and faculty where it can. They can also provide inspiration for making meaningful changes in our education.
