Regulations and guidelines

Guidelines, rules and other important information for PhD candidates are described in detail in various documents.

PhD track

  • PhD Guidelines: Information on facilities for PhD candidates and the arrangements for training, supervision and labour market preparation.
  • PhD Regulations: Rules for appointing (co-)supervisors, the Doctorate Committee and the Examining Committee, and the requirements to be met by a dissertation.
  • Golden Rules for PhD Supervision: A list of best practices for both the PhD candidate and the supervisors. These ‘rules of conduct’ emphasise the shared responsibility of the supervisor and the PhD candidate. They also clarify what expectations they both may have. See also the Golden Rules in short.
