Making use of social media is a good way to meet others or to hear about the latest news and developments. But it also has its downsides: disinformation, trolling, disrespectful comments and even the misuse of (personal) data.

After two years the LACDR Barbecue took place again on Monday the 20th of June. This was a great success. In the sun while enjoying a drink and nice food, everyone had the opportunity to talk to each other again during a social event. Thanks again to everyone who helped during this event.

If a researcher has appeared on the TV or radio or in a newspaper, for example, you can create an ‘In the media’ page referring to this. How do you write a good ‘In the media’ page? Below are some guidelines.

As a new initiative of the LACDR Institute Council, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team celebrated diversity and raised awareness about DEI with a first LACDR Internationals’ Day on September 22, 2022.

On Friday the 29th of October, LACDR presented highlights of its research and teaching program during an online Lunchtime Talk session at the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

On Thursday the 9th of December the LACDR Fall Symposium 2021 took place. Although the plan was to organize this symposium physically, unfortunately this was not possible due to the corona measures and it became an online event.

After the summer break, the PhD training program is restarted and we are happy that most courses will be live again. Together with the lecturers, we are preparing the courses Basic programming in R, Basic programming in Python, Population Pharmacokinetic Modelling, Data management course and Introduction…

Again we had an unusual year, but also this year graduations still continued. We are well aware of the fact that at the start of your PhD track you had never imagined a graduation ceremony in the current context. Nevertheless, our warmest congratulations to the graduates at LACDR in 2021:

For the second year in a row, we had to hold the spring symposium as an online event. But nevertheless, there were impressive presentations and interesting poster pitches.

On November 1, the LACDR Fall Symposium took place. After the symposium was opend by prof.dr. Hubertus Irth, the program started with a lecture called “Poly(2-oxazoline)s, structural chameleons in therapeutic delivery” given by key note speaker dr. Joachim van Guyse.
