Logging in
Maileon offers two user environments: one for internal mailings and one for external mailings.
In both environments, the login process is the same: do not enter your username and password. Instead, click the yellow button labeled Login via SSO. You will then follow the familiar Outlook login procedure: enter your VUW username and confirm your login using the Authenticator app on your mobile phone.

Environment for internal mailings
Newsletters and mailings created and sent in this environment do not include an unsubscribe link. Adding one is not permitted. This environment is intended for service emails: messages with a service-oriented purpose sent to staff and/or students.
There is integration with uSis and SAP, allowing you to select lists of staff and student addresses.
E-mail addresses in the environment for internal mailings
Send only to e-mail addresses within your own faculty or organisational unit.
Do you want to have a list imported? This should only contain staff and/or student addresses of your faculty or organisational unit. External email addresses, such as Hotmail and Gmail, are not permitted.

Newsletters and mailings created and sent in this environment automatically include an unsubscribe link that cannot be removed.
Address lists for this environment can be uploaded by the data manager of your faculty or organisational unit.
To protect personal data, address lists must be stored in Maileon. Do not store address lists on your computer or a network drive.
