When applying for a grant, there are some important considerations. Keep these in mind during all steps of the application process!
1. Ethics
In case of doubt about your research design, do not hesitate to ask for advice from your ethics committee. Please also schedule an ethics review in time. > Read more
2. Privacy
You may need to consider mitigation measures to reduce the privacy risk of your research project especially if you use a new method or technology. Please also schedule your privacy review in time (think about minimum 1 month beforehand if you need a privacy approval stamp, more in complex cases). > Read more
3. Research Data Management
Think beforehand if you want to share your dataset after research, include potential costs for (long-term) data storage, etc. The datastewards can provide help and advice - also to write the RDM section of your grant. > Read more
4 Is your research WMO research?
If yes, other procedures for ethics are in place, supplementary costs will need to be included, you will need to contact the faculty monitor, etc. > Read more
