To go a step further, you can also take initiative to innovate your course or teaching activity and/or conduct educational research. Always contact seeds@science.leidenuniv.nl when you think about taking this step. SEEDS can help you decide what exactly you want to do and support you in developing the needed materials or activities. They know of existing innovation trajectories you could join and grants you could apply for, if necessary. Crucially, they can determine if your plan meets the requirements for educational innovation or research and fits with the university’s vision on teaching and learning.

The university also has a central team for support educational innovation, the Leiden Learning & Innovation Centre (LLInC). All contact with LLInC goes through SEEDS.
