Fossil Fuel Collaboration Advice Desk
Collaboration with the fossil fuel industry requires careful assessment. The Fossil Fuel Collaboration Advice Desk was set up to support this process.

The Fossil Fuel Collaboration Advice Desk supports staff members if they have questions about collaboration with the fossil fuel industry. Its tasks include handling specific cases, developing policy and maintaining a network outside the university. The Advice Desk also serves as the contact point for the Fossil Fuel Collaboration Committee.
The Advice Desk responds to questions and requests by email. The processing time for a case is a maximum of four weeks, from the time when the case is submitted until the committee gives its advice.
The following colleagues are involved in the Advice Desk:
- Head of Internationalisation and Head of Research, Strategy & Academic Affairs (SAZ) directorate.
- Team Leader of Luris (Knowledge Exchange Office).
- Sustainability Coordinator, Strategy & Academic Affairs (SAZ) directorate.
- Project support professional, Strategy & Academic Affairs (SAZ) directorate.
The Fossil Fuel Collaboration Committee plays an important role in the decision-making and organisation relating to collaboration with the fossil fuel industry.
Collaborations with the fossil fuel industry can be submitted to this committee via the Fossil Fuel Collaboration Advice Desk, with a request for assessment. This request is made by the initiators of a collaboration together with their manager.
The Fossil Fuel Collaboration Committee consists of members of the Fossil Fuel Collaboration Advice Desk and experts in the area of social, societal and technological aspects of climate change and the energy transition.
