Scientific integrity
Scientific integrity is an important element in the PhD trajectory, and is addressed in several different settings.
Mandatory course on scientific integrity
New PhD candidates sign the Code of Conduct on Scientific Integrity, they take a course on scientific integrity, and the PhD degree award ceremony comes with an explicit exhortation to heed the obligations to society and to science that the degree entails. Attending the Scientific Integrity course is mandatory for those who enrolled on or after 1 January 2019, preferably during the early stages of their research. However, PhD candidates who started their PhD trajectory before 2019 are also encouraged to attend this course. Please visit the course information page for more information about this course.
The course consists of an online lecture to be viewed at your convenience, followed by a 90-minute workshop at institute level.
