The Faculty offers individual coaching for both novice and experienced teachers. Whether you need to obtain your University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) or want to further develop your existing teaching skills, our teaching coaches are there for you.

Education coaches

The two education coaches, Maarten van Leeuwen and Astrid Van Weyenberg, offer personal guidance and advice. They help teachers with:

• One-to-one discussions for lecturers who need to obtain their UTQ.
• Sparring sessions for experienced lecturers who want to improve their teaching.

Support for BKO

You can ask the education coaches to observe and evaluate a lecture, which is a requirement for your BKO portfolio. Please take into account a request period of at least three weeks and submit your request well in advance. Mail your request to: onderwijscoaches@hum.leidenuniv.nl.
