Organising digital assessments

When organising a digital exam, you need to book a location in time and request the exam from ECOLe. Below are the steps you need to follow to make the process run smoothly.

The complete process for setting up a digital exam is explained in this module. These are the steps in brief:

  1. Reserve a location
Book a room suitable for digital testing via the education coordinator in good time. Clearly indicate that it is a digital exam and allow for start-up time and run-out.
For remote exams, you don't need to reserve a location, have a look at this page for that scenario and request the exam as instructed below.
  2. Request the exam itself
Request your digital examination from ECOLe as soon as the date, location and time are known - this must be done no later than 20 working days before the examination date. Use the instructions on this page. We will then help you through the process.

Depending on the location, university laptops or PCs may be available, or students will take the assessment on their own laptops. Don't forget to bring your own scrap paper.
