Complaints and appeals
Where can students go with complaints about assessment?
Students who have complaints about exam grading or assessment can first contact the examiner or the Board of Examiners. If the complaint is valid, the examiner may decide to, for example, remove a problematic question or adjust a grade. The Board of Examiners itself cannot make these decisions.
If a student strongly disagrees with the examiner's decision (since a grade is considered a formal assessment decision), they can appeal by submitting a formal complaint to the Examination Appeals Board (CBE).
