The JUL board
Bram Boesschen Hospers (chair)
'My name is Bram Boesschen Hospers, born in 1995 in the beautiful Vriezenveen. In 2013 I came to Leiden, where I studied History at Leiden University and Classical Clarinet at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Since 2021 I have been working at the Training Office of the Institute of Biology (ILL); first as a study advisor, and currently as a support staff for the teaching staff. In addition, I give weekly music lessons at the Valkenburgse Harmonie and I regularly play on a freelance basis in professional orchestras such as the DoelenEnsemble and the RadioFilharmonisch Orkest. I get very excited about ancient Greek orators, but just as excited about Stockhausen, walks in the dunes and Moby Dick. I hope to meet through JUL a lot more of you and talk to you on one of our activities!'
Eva Sweep (Treasurer)
'My name is Eva Sweep, I am 27 years old and I have been working in the Student Support Services department since May 2022. I studied Public Administration in The Hague and now work at the university to support the psychologists and deans, among others. Because I wanted to have more social contacts within the organization, I became treasurer of the JUL board. In my spare time I like to read and draw. I look forward to organize interesting and fun activities at JUL and to meet some of my colleagues within the university!'
Sanne Morsink (communication)
'Sanne here! After studying China Studies and General Social Sciences in Amsterdam, I returned to the uni after a job in education. I am 31 years old, and at the university I have been responsible for the HOP week since June 2021. This is the introduction week for all new Leiden University students from The Hague. I supervise and train an annually changing group of 6 students in organizing this event. With this position I am part of the Student Support Services department, just like Eva. I like Asian food, (film) festivals, concerts, sailing and skating. I am excited to meet you all, see you soon!'
Charro Kooijman (activities)
'I work as a safety and security consultant in the security department. I myself mainly deal with advice from students and staff who travel abroad, internal investigations and incidents. I live in Kijkduin, near the beach, together with my two cats. In my free time I like to visit festivals and museums and I regularly spend a weekend in England as my boyfriend lives there. You make me happier with a pub with live music than with a club, but since corona I have also come to appreciate game nights at home more and more. Two years ago I worked at the province of South Holland where I was also a member of the young employees association. I have very nice memories of this and the study trip to Germany and Belgium was a real result. It is my hope to be able to continue this with and for JUL. And I am looking forward to that and I hope I get to know many of you in real life too!'
