Hortus Botanicus
The Hortus Botanicus is the oldest botanical garden in the Netherlands. Founded in 1590 and expanded in the centuries that followed, the Hortus is a green oasis in the centre of Leiden. Visitors come for a relaxing stroll through the gardens; researchers come from all over the world to study the famous collection.
