Protest against classroom scanners at Lipsius building
On Tuesday a few dozen students and staff from Leiden University protested on the square in front of the Lipsius building against the classroom scanners that have been installed in buildings and lecture halls. They are demanding that the scanners be removed.

Classroom scanners in the Lipsius building tested by ethical hackers
To check whether the classroom scanners are secure, a ‘pen test’ was performed in the Lipsius building on Monday 28 March. This involved switching on the person counters for a day so that ethical hackers could try to gain access to the system.

Lipsuis 2.17
On the second floor of the Lipsius building is room 2.17, an active classroom designed with a capacity of 24 for active, group-based classwork. From 2019, the room will be part of the ZRS system and can be booked by the Humanities faculty and Humanities Service Desk.

Small music studio with piano
The small piano studios at the LAK are available to rent for practice purposes. You can either rent the studios per hour or get a subscription. There are Yamaha pianos available in the studio's, but you can also use the space to practice with your own instrument.

The opening times of the Humanities buildings vary. The Lipsius building is opened during evenings as well, the other faculty buildings retain office hours.
