Vidi grants for eight researchers from Leiden University

Start of construction of new University Sports Centre celebrated
On 11 July 2024, a gathering was held to celebrate the start of the construction of the new University Sports Centre (USC). Rugby players and a pole dancer from USC Leiden played a role in the celebration. A video was also shown, giving a whistle-stop tour of the new building.

Citizen scientists discover more than 1,000 new burial mounds
Over the past few years, citizen scientists from the Heritage Quest project have scoured the entire Veluwe and Utrechtse Heuvelrug areas for unknown archaeological heritage. One of the results of this research is that the number of known burial mounds in this area has doubled.

Second Caring Universities research results: students are reporting more psychological issues
In June 2020, Caring Universities researched the mental health and resilience of students. This was repeated again in January 2021. The results of this second investigation show that more students are reporting psychological issues such as stress and mood swings than during the first investigation.
