Vidatum
Applying for, managing and accounting for externally funded research projects is becoming increasingly competitive and complex. Vidatum is a research management tool for grants and research projects that assists researchers and research support staff in meeting the requirements of funders in terms of applying for, managing and accounting for externally funded research projects.
Please note: The system is currently used only for staff (particularly project controllers) who are directly involved in the Faculties of Science, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Archaeology and Humanities. Staff from other faculties and institutes will be able to use Vidatum at a later date.
Expanding the functionality of Vidatum
The tool can be used for managing project finances (post-award) of new, externally funded research projects. In subsequent phases, Vidatum will be expanded further with more functions including:
- Digitalising approval processes (Request for Approval)
- Registering the time for research projects
- Support for subsidy applications (pre-award)
- Management reporting
