PhD-Postdoc event 2025
LACDR is committed to preparing its PhD candidates and postdocs for their future in the best possible way. One of the activities for this is the annual PhD-Postdoc event focused on career prospects. This year’s event was held on March 4th, 2025.
The afternoon was kicked off by Isabelle Kohler of NextMinds, who gave an inspiring presentation 'Beyond the PhD – Postdoc: What’s next?’.
Afterwards we had a nice line-up of alumni representing a large variety of potential employers who provided their insights on career perspectives: Miranda van Beers (Johnson & Johnson), Jara Bouma (ZonMw), Jantine Brussee (qPharmetra), Tineke van Eijk (Medpace Netherlands), Gera Goverse (Crown Bioscience), Bas Goulooze (LAP&P Consultants), Arnout Mieremet (TNO), Huub Sijben (Artica-tx), Bram Slütter (LACDR - Leiden University), Varsha Thakoersing (IMcoMet).
The day ended with a networking dinner. We look back on a successful event, in which the PhD candidates and Postdoc were able to get inspired and network with alumni and colleagues.
