Launch of the RESOCIAL Project Website
eLaw – Center for Law and Digital Technologies is pleased to announce the launch of the official website of the RESOCIAL project. The website, developed by Maelle Picout, research assistant at eLaw within the RESOCIAL project, provides a central platform for updates, research outputs, and insights into this important initiative.
About the RESOCIAL Project
Funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) and ZonMw within the Synergy Action agenda, RESOCIAL (User's Resilience and Vulnerability in Social Media and the Metaverse) is a multidisciplinary project investigating the challenges and opportunities of social media and metaverse environments for user resilience and fundamental rights. The project is led by Dr Gianclaudio Malgieri, Associate Professor at Leiden University, in collaboration with four universities and 15 partners, including regulators and international NGOs. The research explores digital vulnerabilities, risks of manipulation, and the impact of emerging technologies on social interactions.
The newly launched website is designed to serve as a knowledge hub for researchers, policymakers, and the general public interested in digital resilience and user protection in online environments. Key sections include:
- About: An overview of the project's objectives, research themes, and funding details.
- Team: Profiles of the researchers and experts involved in RESOCIAL.
- Publications & News: Updates on research findings, policy reports, and upcoming events.
- Partners: Information about the institutions and organisations collaborating on the project.

The website will be regularly updated with new publications, events, and insights from the project's research. Visit The Resocial Project to explore the initiative and stay informed about the latest developments in digital resilience research.
