Start of Academia in Motion working group
The Academia in Motion programme aims to activate Open Science and Recognition & Rewards across the university. Last year, the faculties were asked to establish their own working groups and set up initiatives. On Thursday 23 January 2025, Leiden Law School’s working group met for the first time.
Faculty working group
The working group consists of various academic staff members who the Faculty Board is pleased to note are eager to get involved:
- Marloes van Noorloos, Associate Professor, Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure
- Ben van Rompuy, Associate Professor, Competition Law
- Eduard Fosch Villaronga, Associate Professor, E-law
- Marijn Stipdonk, HR, secretary
Cecily Rose, Associate Professor of Public International Law, represents the Faculty Council and has agreed to participate as an advisory member in the working group, which falls under the responsibility of Dean Suzan Stoter.
Revised faculty career development policy
In the coming period, the working group will consider how we as a faculty can work towards a transparent and readily comprehensible career development policy for academic staff, utilising the individual talents of our staff to the full. Topics to be considered include criteria and procedures for promotion and the development of competences such as leadership skills, while taking account of the profile of our institutes and the faculty.
After receiving input from all institutes, the aim is to have produced a revised policy on career development at this faculty by autumn 2025. This will then be shared with the whole faculty.
