eLaw Summer School on Regulating AI in the EU Digital Market
Following a highly successful first edition, we are delighted to announce the second Leiden eLaw Summer School on ‘Regulating AI in the EU Digital Market’ taking place from 23 to 27 June 2025, both in person in Leiden and online.
This year’s summer school will feature renowned experts from top international academic institutions and public regulators, including representatives from the European Data Protection Supervisor and National enforcement authorities. It will be directed by Dr Gianclaudio Malgieri and coordinated by Dr Constanța Roșca.
Why attend?
AI is reshaping the global market, amplifying both opportunities and risks while challenging public authorities to adapt their enforcement strategies. This edition of the eLaw summer school will delve into critical questions such as:
- How is AI transforming legal, policy, and enforcement frameworks?
- What challenges do Generative AI models pose under the GDPR and AI Act?
- How can organisations conduct a Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment under the AI Act and comply with high-risk AI system requirements?
- Does the newly adopted AI Act, along with the enforcement of the EU digital rulebook (DSA), enhance user protection online?
- Is additional consumer protection needed through the proposed Digital Fairness Act?
- What are the implications of AI for enforcing EU digital market laws?
