LACDR PhD Introductory Course on Drug research
Due to the great influx of PhD candidates, we had the pleasure to organize a 2nd PhD Introductory Course on Drug research this year. From November 4- 6, we welcomed 30 participants for this 3-days event, which took place at Castle Oud Poelgeest.
Our PhD Introductory Course intends to inform new PhD candidates about LACDR, its different divisions, but also its partner organizations from the Leiden BioScience Park such as LUMC and CHDR. We included a workshop on social and psychological safety to increase awareness and provide guidance how to speak up. The programme also included a workshop on presentation skills and a presentation about intellectual property. Also every PhD candidate gave a 3-minute pitch about their research.
Needless to say, there was plenty of time for social interactions, networking, and to get to know each other. Many thanks to all contributors and PhD candidates who have participated!
