KHMW Dr. Saal van Zwanenberg Research prizes for BPS students
On November 25th, BPS students Bart van Lieshout (right) and Scott Engels (left) received Dr. Saal van Zwanenberg Research Prizes from the KHMW. This annual prize is awarded to students who have written a master's thesis in the pharmaceutical and medical sciences field.
Bart van Lieshout received the first prize of 3,000 euros for his thesis ‘Pediatric Pharmacokinetics and Safety of Guanabenz for the Treatment of Vanishing White Matter’ (Division of Systems Pharmacology and Pharmacy, supervisor: Coen van Hasselt - Amsterdam VUmc, supervisor: Imke Bartelink). Scott Engels won the second prize of 2,000 euros for his thesis entitled ‘Single-cell immune profiling reveals clonal expansion of age-associated B cells in murine atherosclerosis’ (Division of BioTherapeutics, supervisors: Virginia Smit and Amanda Foks).
