Looking back: graduation ceremony for Leiden Law School bachelor’s students
On 7 and 8 November, we celebrated a special milestone during the graduation ceremony for the bachelor’s students in Law, Notarial Law, Tax Law and Criminology.
There was an atmosphere of joy and pride as we toasted the graduates’ success alongside their loved ones.
A milestone worth celebrating
We are delighted to announce that around 450 students received their degree certificates, in recognition for all their hard work and dedication throughout their years of study. The graduates were supported by many proud family members and friends who attended the ceremony. During the ceremony, the faculty’s Dean, Professor Suzan Stoter, addressed the students:
‘Obtaining a bachelor's degree is a special achievement – especially since the bachelor’s programme is often perceived as more challenging than the master’s. That’s not just due to the length of the programme; it’s also because bachelor’s students have not yet selected a specific direction, and so some courses are less aligned with your area of interest. Moreover, you are the first cohort of students to complete your degrees largely post-Covid. After all, the coronavirus pandemic changed a lot in terms how we’re teaching and learning.’
Hopes for the future
