Marie Depuydt receives presentation award at the 10th EMBRN meeting in Utrecht
From 11-13 July 2022, the 10th EMBRN International Mast Cell and Basophil Meeting took place in the Utrecht University Academia Building in Utrecht. During this meeting, novel insights and developments in the field of mast cell and basophil biology in both health and disease were shared.
Ilze Bot, member of the EMBRN organizing committee, gave a lecture discussing the contribution of mast cells to atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases. PhD candidates Esmeralda Hemme and Lucie Delfos were invited to present their recent findings during dedicated poster sessions in the garden of the Utrecht Academia Building. Marie Depuydt presented her work entitled “Age-induced mast cell activation and antigen presentation in atherosclerosis”, for which she received one of the “Best oral presentation” awards. We all look back on a very successful and inspiring meeting.
