Harold Linnartz opnieuw benoemd voor vier jaar
Prof Harold Linnartz has been reappointed Director of Education of the bachelor and master programmes of Astronomy. The appointment is for a period of four years, until 1 October 2026.
'It is an honour to be responsible for the education of our institute again together with our education office,' Linnartz said, 'and there is a lot of work to do. Our new Space Minor, a collaboration with Delft and Rotterdam, has just started. And our master's programme in Astronomy is among the largest in the world.
Looking to the future
Linnartz also looks to the future. 'Now that we have access to all kinds of new research facilities, such as the James Webb Space Telescope, it is more important than ever to fully prepare our students for the opportunities the future will bring. Teaching and research, hand-in-hand, that's where the focus will be in the coming years.'
