Eric De Brabandere, Anna Marhold and Nico Schrijver included in new European Commission arbitrators pool
Eric De Brabandere, Anna Marhold and Nico Schrijver of the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies have been included as arbitrators and Trade and Sustainable Development experts in the newly established European Commission pool in the framework of EU free trade agreements enforcement.
The candidates were nominated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and subsequently underwent a rigorous selection process by an independent panel comprised of experienced international judges and academics, nominated by the European Parliament, the Council and the European Commission.
The Commission may select individuals from this pool to act as arbitrators and/or Trade and Sustainable Development experts regarding bilateral dispute settlement with third countries in the framework of EU free trade agreements.
