Teaching can be counted as transferable skill for max. 20 hours
Considering the fact that PhD candidates spend a lot of time on teaching and develop valuable transferable skills in this process, the Doctorate Board agreed that teaching hours (for a max. of 20 hours) can be included as transferable skills. So this counts as part of the compulsory 140 hours of transferable skills.
To validate this, the PhD candidate can fill in the attached certificate, have it signed by the supervisor an upload it in LUCRIS. For questions about LUCRIS, please contact the graduate school of science: gs@science.leidenuniv.nl.
It was already possible to include the obtaining of the Basiskwalificatie Onderwijs (BKO) certificate as transferable skill hours. This counts also as 20 education hours.
