Launch of Spanish version of the Leiden Children’s Rights Observatory website
The Leiden Children’s Rights Observatory is pleased to launch the Spanish version of the website. This new feature of the website is a result of the partnership between Leiden Law School and the Center for Constitutional Studies of the Mexican Supreme Court (CEC-SCJN).
Earlier this year, Leiden Law School and the CEC-SCJN signed a memorandum of understanding to carry out joint activities in the field of constitutional law and children’s rights. The translation of the website is a result of this collaboration. The Spanish version of the website improves its accessibility, increases its visibility and expands the reach of its content, particularly among Spanish speaking visitors interested in current developments and ongoing discussions about children’s rights. The CEC-SCJN announced the launch on their website.
Since Wednesday 20 October 2021, the Leiden Children's Rights Observatory and CEC-SCJN have been organising the Online Webinar Series Children's Access to Justice in Practice: The Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on a Communications Procedure (OP3). The second session of the series will take place on Thursday 2 December 2021 with guest speakers Professor Jaap Doek and Professor Ursula Kilkelly. The Webinar series is hosted by Dr Nicolás Espejo Yaksic and Professor Ton Liefaard. The other sessions of the online Webinar Series are scheduled for 18 January, 17 March and 21 April 2022. The sessions can be viewed via Zoom, please register here to attend.
