Danny Mekić is ‘Mr. of the Week’
On 22 July, Danny Mekić, PhD candidate at eLaw - Center for Law and Digital Technology and Eindhoven University of Technology, was named ‘Mr. of the Week’ following his recent wins in two lawsuits against social media company Twitter.
Mekić went to court due to an unjustified shadow ban on his personal account, lack of communication about this based on the Digital Services Act (DSA) and failure to comply with his request for access based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Amsterdam District Court ruled in his favour in both cases.
