Coaching
Do you find it difficult to set boundaries? Do you suffer from work pressure? Do you want to avoid unhealthy stress, or restore your balance? Our coaches can help you to reflect on yourself, allowing you to do your work with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
With coaching, you can get to know yourself better, become more self-confident and learn how to develop effective behaviour. A coaching programme is compiled entirely on the basis of each individual’s personality and learning needs.
You can ask a coach to help, for example, if you’re experiencing problems in the area of work pressure, vitality, communication or teamwork. Coaching can also be helpful if you’re having difficulties in interacting with colleagues or your manager. Or if you’re a manager, perhaps you want to lead your team more effectively. Coaches help you to achieve your personal goals and raise your awareness, making you more able to recognise and understand your behavioural and thinking patterns.
And if you feel ready to explore the next step in your career, this is another area where coaching can be effective. Leiden University offers all staff members a range of options for career guidance and advice.
Varieties of coaching
Our professional coaches offer the following options:
Individual coaching
If you’d like to find out whether working with a coach could be useful for you, simply send an email to coaching@bb.leidenuniv.nl. You can also discuss this with your HR adviser.
If you already know you want to work with a coach, look at our coach pool to see which internal and external coaches are available. You can contact a coach directly yourself and schedule a free, no-obligation introductory session.
Team coaching and coaching for managers
If you have a question about team coaching and/or coaching for managers, please contact your HR adviser, who will help you to formulate your precise needs. You can then contact Bregje Speet, who can give you further advice and help to match you with a coach.
