Intervision
Would you like to exchange ideas about a problem in a small group of colleagues? ‘Intervision’ (peer-led reflection) is a valuable way to learn from one another and to grow in your role as a professional.
Intervision involves speaking with your peers in the group on the basis of a structured discussion model. You learn from each other by introducing work issues, discussing how to deal with them and looking at a problem from a process-oriented perspective. You discover that you’re not facing the problem alone and you develop a range of competences, such as self-awareness, giving feedback, discussion skills and teamwork.
What the intervision coach does
The intervision coach helps a group to become an independent intervision group in four coaching sessions. The group learns about the various roles in intervision (introducer, participant and chair) and how to work with different methods.
How do you create an intervision group?
You can create an intervision group with colleagues who want to reflect on specific cases, personal actions and possible solutions. These colleagues should have a similar background. For example, you are all managers, advisers, researchers or teachers. An intervision group usually comprises between five and eight members.
