Prices and total cost price
When performing contract research or providing courses for a third party, you must charge a fee. This fee must be at least equal to the total cost price.
Total costs
The Executive Board specifies each year what prices you are permitted to charge. The price list contains an annual rate and an hourly rate. You can request this list from the financial department of your unit.
Budget
If you are producing a budget, you should multiply the expected number of hours by the hourly rate and add other direct costs, always taking account of indexation.
Grant
Sometimes the payment consists of a grant, in which case the grant conditions are important for determining the exact amount of the payment that the University receives for a project.
