Scientific and social worlds searching together for solutions to complex issues: that is the aim of inter- and transdisciplinary research and education. Leiden University has an enormously diverse body of knowledge, making it ideally suited as a centre for inter- and transdisciplinary work.
The Knowledge Orchard is an event as part of our 450th anniversary, in which scientists and societal stakeholders explore each other's worlds in a creative, inspiring way. This vibrant journey aims to further enhance the interdisciplinary work of our scientists and to initiate sustainable partnerships between our university and societal stakeholders.
The morning programme: for Leiden staff
The morning programme of The Knowledge Orchard is aimed at Leiden researchers, teachers and students who (want to) engage in interdisciplinary research/education.
Event objective: after attending the event, participants will have a concrete list of four interdisciplinary action points and intended goals (‘how will this action help me or my work move forward?’) in their pockets.
