Introduction Career Lunch-Webinar Series

Join this brown-bag webinar series, where you can enjoy your lunch while engaging in conversations on research support career development with colleagues. These 1-hour sessions provide a platform for seasoned colleagues from different research support domains to share their career journeys, challenges and future outlooks. This is an opportunity for new colleagues and those interested in the profession to gain insights, and to reflect on research support roles from a job-crafting perspective.

Session 27 May: Project Management

What are the primary responsibilities of a research project manager and what does a typical work week look like? What are options of a career progression and what key skills are essential for success in this role? For this session, we are excited to invite Maribel Adame Valero, Director of Operations at the Institute of Biology Leiden (IBL) and Elka Smith, research project manager Luris, to reflect on their career path in research project management.
