The theme of law and technology currently looms large. Whether it culminates in automated administrative decision-making, explainability and liability of digital systems, data protection, or AI regulation, this theme transcends different areas of law and thus different departments within the law faculty. With the aim of connecting researchers from various legal disciplines, and after a successful first edition in March of last year, we are organizing the Law and Technology Showcase on April 17th 2025!

About the event

From now on, the Law & Technology Showcase will be part of the new faculty research focus area Technology, Law and Justice. It is a periodical event designed to keep you at the forefront of technological developments affecting law and society, and vice versa. After participating in the event, a Teams environment will serve as a hub for knowledge exchange, bringing together researchers, to disseminate research, explore new ideas, and collaborate on emerging challenges in Law and Technology.

Registration and schedule

This is a faculty-wide event, hosted in English, for researchers whose methods or topics lie at the intersection of law and technology. The event kicks off at 15:15 in room B0.31 with a short technology recap, followed by rounds of research presentations and discussion. At 17:00 there will be drinks and snacks. To attend or to participate, for instance by sharing some insights about your research in the form of a short presentation or pitch, please register here!
