About the event

Empathy is often seen as a soft skill but, in international development, it is a driving force behind meaningful and sustainable change. This lecture explores the role of empathy across different dimensions of development work—from defining priorities and designing programmes to fostering partnerships, managing teams, and ensuring long-term sustainability. Through real-world examples and interactive discussion, we will examine how an empathetic approach leads to more effective and inclusive solutions.
