Theme: In Conversation with the Neighborhood #HoeDan?
Dear researchers and professionals,
Would you like to experience how residents and professionals collaborate in the neighborhood? Then sign up for our knowledge café: In Conversation with the Neighborhood #HoeDan?
March 3rd marks the sixth knowledge café organized by the Leiden Healthy Society Center (LHSC), in collaboration with Leiden University of Applied Sciences, Leiden University, mboRijnland, the City of Leiden, and Leren met de Stad. An afternoon filled with presentations and discussions with researchers who actively engage with the neighborhood.
What to expect
Researchers from Leiden University of Applied Sciences will share insights from the De wijk als inclusieve en aantrekkelijke leefomgeving (Leiden ZuidWest)-project, in which they work with residents and professionals to create a healthy, inclusive neighborhood.
On March 3rd, mboRijnland will showcase how their Gezondheidsinformatiepunt contributes: residents can receive free health checks from student medical assistants.
Leren met de Stad will also be there! Leiden students work alongside residents, the municipality, and organizations to tackle local issues. Another example is Energiefixers071, where mboRijnland students assist residents in making social housing more sustainable.
Curious about how to involve citizens in science? The Citizen Science Lab at Leiden University organizes initiatives where everyone can work with data and research. This makes science more accessible and enriched with insights from society.
Finally: discover the plans for the Tweede Groene Ring! How will it look? In the future, residents will have a say in its design through a competition organized by the City of Leiden.
Registration
Please register (as soon as possible) via healthysocietycenter@leiden.nl. Also, include your employer and position.
Participation in the knowledge café is free of charge. However, we ask participants to contribute actively to the discussions so we can make the most of all the expertise present.
We look forward to meeting you and having conversations on March 3rd!
