Russian research ships, with armed soldiers on board, are scouring the North Sea in search of Dutch data cables, gas pipelines, and wind farms. An international team of journalists, led by the investigative platform Pointer, went in search of these ships. They report on their findings in a new four-part podcast series. The kick-off/launch will be on Saturday, February 8 at 14:00 on NPO Radio 1.

From the Institute of Security and Global Affairs at Leiden University, Professor Bart Schuurman will provide an overview of the areas where hybrid warfare from Russia has become visible in Europe. Stijn van 't Land, researcher and PhD candidate, will be present to answer any questions from participants or the program makers.

And you can be there, as the broadcast will be live from the Spanish Steps in the Wijnhaven building at Leiden University in The Hague.

After the broadcast, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions with the creators, Sander Bartling and Peter Keizer.

If you would like to attend the broadcast, please register for the event before Saturday, February 8, 2025.
