This event is organised by Una Europa, an alliance of leading European research universities, including Leiden University.

What will be covered in the session?
Keynote speaker Marco Rieckmann from Universität Vechta will give a keynote talk: Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Higher Education: Exploring MOOCs, Microcredentials, and Collaborative Online International Learning as Innovative Settings for ESD.
This will be followed by:
- Laura Riuttanen, Helsingin yliopisto/Helsingfors Universitet. Micro-credentials and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses): Offering flexible and accessible approaches to sustainability education.
- Johanna Sári, Freie Universität Berlin. Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL): An innovative method for connecting classrooms across borders to facilitate impactful teaching collaborations.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in the topics explored through breakout sessions, allowing you to deepen your understanding of these formats and how they can elevate sustainability education.
Participation is free and open to all members of the Una Europa community and beyond.
