- Meijers Lecture in Lorentzaal and New Year's Reception in KOG Restaurant
On Thursday 16 January 2025, Leiden Law School will usher in the New Year with the Meijers Lecture, the presentation of the Meijers Prizes and the Van Wersch Springplank Prize. This will take place in the Lorentzzaal from 15.00 - 16.05. We will conclude with the New Year's reception (16.10 - 19.00) in the KOG restaurant.
This year, the format of the Meijers Lecture will be slightly different. From their own research perspective, four speakers will present their views on the theme ‘Courage in law: Activism and protection of the rule of law’. The speakers will be Daniëlla Dam, Sophie Koning, Gianclaudio Malgieri and Rowie Stolk, with Alex Geert Castermans acting as the moderator. The full programme is provided below.
