Launch of a New Online Alumni Seminar Series by Europaeum - First Seminar on the Implications Trump 2.0 for Europe, America, and the World

The Europaeum, a network of 17 leading universities in Europe, invites alumni and other members of the wider Europaeum community to participate in a series of quarterly online seminars to discuss significant current issues.

The first online seminar - focussing on Trump 2.0 - What does his return to power mean for Europe, America and the world? - will take place on Thursday 30th January, ten days after the second inauguration of Donald Trump as US President.

The discussion will feature the following leading think tankers and commentators from Europe and the United States as panellists:

  • Jacob Funk Kirkegaard, Senior Fellow, Bruegel and Peterson Institute;

  • Ian Lesser, Adviser to the President, German Marshall Fund;

  • Suzanne Schneider, Visiting Fellow, Kellogg College, Oxford, and Deputy Director, Brooklyn Institute;

  • Leslie Vinjamuri, Head of US and Americas Programme, Chatham House.

The event will be introduced by Andrew Graham, Chair of the Europaeum, and co-chaired by Anthony Teasdale, Executive Director of the Europaeum, and Dorian Singh, Alumni Administrator of the Europaeum.

The seminar will be held via Zoom on Thursday 30th January 2025 at 17.00 GMT / 18.00 CET / 12.00 noon EST and run for ninety minutes. There will be ample opportunity for attendees to ask questions of the panel.
