World Children's Day 2024: Public Lecture on Children's Rights

The Unicef Student Team at Leiden University invites you to commemorate World Children's Day 2024 in an impactful way. They are organizing a Public Lecture on Children's Rights to raise awareness about why the world should invest more in children and the role students can play in advancing children's rights.

The guest speaker will be Ann Skelton, the current Chair of the Committee on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Programme Director of the Master of Laws, Advanced Studies in International Children's Rights at Leiden University.

On this day, the team encourages students and the university community to wear something BLUE (the children's color code) in support of children's rights.

Additionally, the Unicef Student Team is currently mobilizing resources for the Eco-Smart Villages Project in Madagascar to help children cope with the impacts of climate change.
