Building a data competence center for Population Health Management

Population health Management (PHM) is a recent interdisciplinary approach that seeks to improve health outcomes by tailoring prevention and intervention programs to population groups. To achieve this, researchers are working with health data that are shared by networks of general practitioners and are combined with other health care organizations such as Statistics Netherlands (CBS).

From a data management point of view, we need to consider the integration of multiple data sources, a robust health data infrastructure, stringent governance regulations and how to develop advanced data science skills. To assist researchers in navigating this health data landscape, we established a data competence center (DCC) at the LUMC that specializes in PHM matters.

Join Armel Lefebvre (LUMC/LIACS) to discuss how we’re implementing the PHM DCC as well as challenges to be solved when dealing with health data management.
