The University of Leiden again organises a workshop ‘Data Management for Archaeologists’ in collaboration with ARCHON. This workshop will provide the participants with a comprehensive knowledge of current data management practices.

The course touches upon all aspects of data management, with examples drawn from archaeological research practice. The workshop will introduce the participant to the principles of good research data management (RDM), policies concerning RDM and the benefits of RDM, and the practice of writing a data management plan (DMP).

ARCHON members can receive 1 ECT for attending the workshop and handing in a reflection report and a data management plan.

Non-Leiden based ARCHON members are welcome to attend in person but may also do so virtually via MS Teams. RMAs are requested to send their DMP to this address afterwards. PhDs are requested to send their DMP to the data steward of their institute with ARCHON in CC.

PhD candidates are expected to attend in person, but external or non-Leiden based PhDs may virtually attend the course via MS Teams. All are requested to send their DMP to this address afterwards.
