Una Europa workshop: help design a framework for doctoral training programmes

Are you working on, or interested in, doctoral training programmes, doctoral supervision or graduate school administration? Or are you a PhD candidate? If so, please join colleagues from across Europe at this two-day workshop to collectively design a Doctoral Interdisciplinary Methods Training (DIMT) framework.
The workshop is organised by Leiden as part of our strategic partnership in Una Europa, an alliance of 11 leading research universities. For participants, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues from across Europe and to work together to shape the content of doctoral training initiatives.
The framework we collectively create will:
- Help more individuals to gain practical skills, improving their employability;
- Strengthen European PhD networks by offering more opportunities for exchanges and joint training, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
For who?
Interested colleagues working at Una Europa universities are warmly invited to join the workshop. Typical participants will include:
- PhD program coordinators/head of PhD programs
- Head of graduate schools, graduate school coordinators
- PhD policy advisors
- Course and training coordinators
- PhD candidates/students
- PhD Supervisors
- PhD councils

The workshop will start at noon on 22 April with a light lunch and finishes at 15.00 on 23 April.
We hope to run the workshop in-person, to facilitate optimal collaborative writing. However, if not enough people are able to attend in-person, we will organise it in a hybrid format.
