Presenting is part of a scientist’s life. Conferences, team meetings, lectures, you are probably already going crazy. Perhaps you are now calm and confident with a microphone in your hand, but you may still experience jitters and an accelerated heartbeat. In any case, there is no getting away from it: being able to present well is and remains a challenging requirement - with or without tension. That is why YAL is now hosting a theatrical presentation workshop led by Julie Schoorl! Julie works at the Science Communication & Society department as a teacher, but also teaches theater classes to high school students. It’s time to roll up your sleeves and rediscover yourself as a performer. Because there’s a lot more to it than a slide with bullet points, a clear voice and eye contact!
