On the 25th and 26th of April, the Experimental Archaeology Days will be held at the Faculty of Archaeology!

Step back in time and learn from first-hand experience through interactive demonstrations and workshops.

The first afternoon will be filled with lectures about all aspects of experimental archaeology in the main hall from esteemed guest speakers. On the second afternoon, there will be a market where you can try your hand at some practical archaeological experiments; textile crafts, flintknapping and food preparation, among others, will be covered.

To kick off the event, we will have 3 different lectures in a symposium starting from 13:00 on the 25th, in the main hall of Van Steenis. Drinks will be provided throughout by L.A.S. terra, and the event will last until 17:00. 

 

On the day of the 26th, our activity market will take place from 13:00 to 18:00 in the outdoor patio area behind the faculty weather permitting, and in the main hall.
