Funding and grants

There are various grants and funding schemes to support projects and research on innovation in education.

Experiments in education

Staff can contact the Leiden Learning & Innovation Centre (LLInC) and the Honours Academy for support with innovation projects.

Honours education as a testing ground

The Honours Academy acts as a testing ground for educational innovation. Lecturers can experiment with new forms of education on a small scale, for example by first testing a course as an Honours Class. This offers lecturers valuable lessons for when they are applying for grants or developing their regular curriculum.

Collaboration with LLInC

Leiden Learning & Innovation Centre (LLInC) trains, coaches, and advises teachers, all while exploring transformative trends in the digital world related to innovation in education. Do you need help creating an engaging and inclusive learning experience? Or do you have an innovative educational idea you would like to explore? LLInC shares best practices and is keen to discuss teaching methods and digital tools.

Through LLInC, teachers can also apply for funding for ongoing and recently completed projects with potential for wider deployment across the university. Read more about the recently launched Grassfields fund for educational innovation.
