Content
This course is divided into 3 blocks of 2-3-2 lessons. Each block has its own teacher with its own expertise.
The first 2 lessons, (teacher: Lyda Bekker), focus on painting, painting with acrylic paint. In two lessons you will learn how to build a painting in layers, what the function of color is and which paint strokes you can make. We do this on the basis of various assignments and by looking at the work of well-known artists, but also at the work of each other.
The second 3 lessons, (teacher: Robert Kiewiet), we will have one drawing lesson and two painting lessons. Attention is paid to the basic techniques such as composition, light/dark and perspective. But we will also apply techniques from the old masters (such as Rembrandt). Consider, for example, working with a surface shown.
The third 2 lessons, (teacher: Maurice Braspenning), we work towards a "living model" (portrait and (nude) model).
We practice looking at the contour lines of a model, light/shadow, direction of lines/proportions, shapes and residual shapes. The material during these lessons will mainly be charcoal.
The course includes use of material during the lessons.
You can buy materials for your home at Terpentijn. The first lesson receives a LAK student card that gives you a 10% discount at Terpentijn.
