Do you want continue your career in academia, or are you not sure? It is important to start thinking about next steps in your career on time. Leiden University wants to support you in this process by organizing a career orientation workshop for researchers on Thursday 6 February (13.30 – 17.00) at PLNT (join for drinks afterwards!)

The primary goal of the workshop is to become aware of entrepreneurship as a career prospect and to understand what it entails. We will focus on science-based entrepreneurship and commercialising your research. During this interactive session you will:

• Learn what entrepreneurship is and under what conditions research can be commercialised
• Explore the pros and cons of being an entrepreneur, and why scientists are well-suited for entrepreneurship
• Learn about the steps you would need to take when transitioning from research to entrepreneurship and how PLNT, LEH and Luris can support you in this transition.
• Learn about the steps scientists need to take when transitioning from research to entrepreneurship and how PLNT, LEH, Luris and other organizations can support you in this transition.
